Biphase is a 2D platform jumping game with an emphasis on exploration and puzzles.
In the game, the player takes on the role of a bipolar character who is attempting to discover and breakthrough their own identity in an abstract red and black landscape.
The game's protagonist is a young girl who must overcome changes in her environment in order to reach the exit that will bring her to the following track. This is a lovely metaphorical approach to bipolar disorder since it depicts the difficulties of moving in a constantly changing environment, which is something that people with bipolar disorder confront in their daily life owing to mood swings caused by the disease. Nonetheless, the game sends a positive message; while the girl may find it more difficult than the others to "journey" in his own life, reconciling with the disease's facts enables her to tackle any problem with courage.
Seed Lab and Biphase Team's invention is simple but appealing in appearance. The creators have managed to generate a sensation of perpetual change and underline the need for stability that results from it by using geometric shapes and color contrasts based on red and black, which represent times of mania and sadness, respectively.
Biphase chronicles a girl with bipolar disorder's path to acceptance of her condition and adjustment to her data in a straightforward and clear manner. The well-designed puzzles in the game pique interest by demanding strategic thinking to complete, and the soothing piano sound that complements Biphase's abrupt color shifts creates a lovely harmony.
Definitely not a simple game, but once you understand how the bipolarity effect works, I'm confident you won't be able to put your smartphone down.

Biphase, developed by several college students from different universities, is a 2D platform jumping game with exploration and puzzles as its core.
The narration part of this game was based on real cases around the player, mainly about the main character with bipolar disorder, who explores the abstract world of red and black mental images to find an exit.
What is Bipolar disorder?
Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression).
And I found some feedback from the players.
I am also a bipolar disorder patient, I am type 2, I only know depression but not bipolar disorder before I was diagnosed in the hospital, in fact, bipolar disorder patients are more painful, switching back and forth between the two extremes of manic and depressive periods and not being able to control their emotions which is like switching between red and black in the game, even medication is more difficult, once the doctor does not control the measurement of antidepressants and antimanic drugs will lead to the deterioration of the patient's condition and thus to the extreme of one aspect ......
I am not bipolar but I have depression and have interpersonal difficulties, have thought about suicide numerous times and have tried, and have scars on my wrists. Swallowed pills and was in a coma for a day. I am still off work and my doctor recommended hospitalization, but my mother felt it was unnecessary and I stayed home. They don't think it's a disease. As long as they correct my ideas, I'm fine.
The other day has been very bad, and finally picked up a knife to cut the wrist ...... but did not succeed, now the pain can not sleep, sleeping pills do not work ...... hope that all people can always be shining sunshine.
It's hard for me to describe the feeling I saw these players' feedback. I think of my old classmate. About 10 years ago, he can't control his emotion, very aggressive. At that time, we thought he was out of his mind. we just laughed at him. No one thought that he might not be what he wanted, he just need help.
Thanks to the developers. Thank you. May everyone's life be full of sunshine. If you can, please help those in need.
