Wuthering Waves vs Tower of Fantasy On the surface, both look similar—anime style, open world, gacha. But once you actually play them, they feel completely different. Wuthering Waves feels more personal. It’s you, your character, and the world. You’re focused on fighting properly, learning enemies, getting better. Combat actually demands attention—if you mess up, you feel it. Tower of Fantasy, on the other hand, feels like a busy online world. Players running around, bosses getting jumped by groups, random co-op moments—it’s less about perfection and more about being part of something active.

Tower of Fantasy feels like a game that tries to mix freedom, action, and online world energy into one experience—and sometimes it hits, sometimes it doesn’t. Right from the start, the world grabs you. A sci-fi planet full of ruins, deserts, and futuristic cities—it’s big, open, and built for exploration. You can climb, glide, swim, even use vehicles, and that freedom makes it feel alive instead of restricted. Combat is fast and stylish. You don’t switch characters—you switch weapons mid-fight, creating combos and adapting to enemies. Perfect dodges trigger a slow-motion effect, which makes fights feel smooth and satisfying when you get the timing right. What really makes it different is the MMO side. You’re not alone—other players are always around. You can team up for boss fights, raids, or just explore together. That social vibe gives it more life than typical solo gacha games. Visually, it’s strong. Anime-style characters mixed with a futuristic world look clean and vibrant, especially when you’re exploring wide areas or climbing high points. But yeah, it’s not perfect. The biggest issue is polish. Sometimes the story feels rushed, characters don’t hit emotionally, and there are technical issues like bugs or awkward animations. Compared to more refined games, it can feel a bit unfinished in places. And then there’s the identity problem. It has its own ideas, but it still feels like it’s trying to balance too many things—MMO, gacha, open-world—and doesn’t fully master any one of them. Still, it has something special. That mix of freedom + multiplayer + fast combat keeps it interesting. Overall, it’s ambitious, stylish, and fun with friends. Not perfectly polished, but when it clicks, it feels like a living anime world you can actually be part of.

I haven't played this game for two years, but I still successfully transferred my account and am back playing after more than 700 days. ThingsWhat disappointed me the most was the incredibly terrible "Power creep". TFor example, before I was enjoying this game, I had the equipment and setup for the most perfect physical attack, using the best weapons of the time, before taking a 700-day break and returning. And when I returned to playing, I was amazed that the new weapons could fly freely, unlike the old generation weapons, And the worst part is that its power is incomparably greater than every weapon in my arsenal combine together, even though it's only level 1 and doesn't have matrix

i feel really bad for this game because the gaming community treats it TERRIBLY while i see the downsides to this game it is still good. i really like the customization and gacha system i feel like the reason why the servers are like a desert is because of how weird the gaming community is once they collectively decide it's bad that is what the tag on a game is, and it is very very annoying games don't need to check boxs to be good (for most people) this game hust has bad PR i adore the character desgins and the story too is pretty good and interactive.

I've played this game twice starting from scratch. The story starts off decent but then just goes downhill. Suddenly skipping a year of story progress and the girl that got taken just suddenly returns. Idk man, combad feels a bit boring and repetitive lacking depth. The devs are very generous with ingame rewards and exploration rewards. The graphics and area exploration is nice but lacks that quick responsiveness and solid feel of other similar games like genshin and wuwa. ToF has potential to be so much more but just failed to deliver. I do like the character creation and customization and the fack that your mc can wield other characters weapons and playstyles however the character customization lacks depth( outfits, hairstyles, accessories etc. especially for f2p)

You just had to be there on launch day of this game, it was so freaking fun when it was popular😭And then went downhill from there i'd say optimization was not the best as it launched but it was playable i had no massive issues but i decided to return to the game and boy oh boy has it changed, Optimization wise its become unplayable to me so i didn't stay long and uninstalled. But this game has a special place in my heart, One day Tower of Fantasy i will be back😪

I am writing this 1-star review with extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the recent account transfer process. The fact that the returning players did not make it to transfer their accounts within the specified timeframe are now facing complete data loss is utterly unacceptable and frankly, feels a betrayal of the player base. This issue is not a minor inconvenience; it represents a significant loss of progress, effort, and in many cases, real money spent on in-game purchases.

Love exploring the entire map.  Camera control is great, movement is great, weapons feels good.  Story is a bit boring 🤔, tho sometimes there's interesting gameplay when you try the side-quests. There's many styles of mini games everywhere, and there's not much urgency, so can play completely solo at your own pace.  Looking for the side-quests you are doing is annoying when you accidentally get launch out of it tho. D: And male items are less han female ones. 🤷 Otherwise, I enjoy coming back to it occasionally.

This game is up there with Genshin in terms of control and play style. The only thing I don't like is travel in the city. You can only fast travel to a few locations. Otherwise it's either taxi or train which are slow. Things I like: -Character customization -Stamina is more forgiving than Genshin - The motor mounts make open world travel easier.
