The inspiration for Out of Hands came from the theme "Capture" of Indie Camp, an annual game jam in China. Yang, creator of the game, feels that hands may be the best medium to express this theme, thus using them as the very basic element of the game. Out of Hands is the winner of Best Game and Best Creative Direction at the 2021 XD Indie Camp.
