The Rake is an open-world survival horror game where you can hunt, kill, capture, or escape The Rake. You can use cameras, weapons, beartraps, and anything else you can get your hands on to defend yourself against The Rake and any other wild animals you come across while exploring the detailed and realistic open world.

Gameplay
You start by gearing up in your cabin then placing bear traps and cameras while exploring the open world for special locations that have new equipment, weapons, stories, lore, and events to spice up gameplay. While doing this you will also have to keep an ear out for strange footsteps and any 10ft creatures hiding behind the trees stalking you. During the night The Rake will become very aggressive pushing the player to go back to the cabin to watch the cameras they setup around the map and hideout until dawn, or the player can choose to go full offensive hunting The Rake at night when it is most active.
The most important part of the game is The Rake, because of that a lot of work goes into making its AI feel realistic and fun to play against for hours. To help with this it will have a ton of different behaviors that will cause different actions like sleeping, hunting for animals or the player, kidnapping the player, fleeing, enraged, stalking, eating, drinking, etc, etc. This all goes in to make The Rake as realistic, scary, and fun to fight as possible.
World
At launch, the game will include one map with more to come in the future, along with map variants with different seasons, weather, & locations. Every map will be as entirely hand-detailed, interactive, & packed full of content as possible.
Helksrun Park:
The first map in the game you will be able to explore Helksrun National Park. set in the northeast of America it has structures and buildings over 400 years old along with having a reputation for the most missing person cases of any place in America.
The map will have two variants, a winter and summer version both with unique weather, events, and locations. The winter variant will be available at launch, with the summer variant following soon after for free.
