TAVU is all about tactical combat and base building. Basic gameplay is very similiar to traditional RTS. Build a base, collect resources, upgrade units and destroy your enemies.
However, the rts-style free movement of units is replaced by a tactical combat system where attacks are sent in waves against base defences.
Attackers can move only in a straight line forward and defenders move sideways in the base.
Efficient attack formations and defence placement are important to get most value out of your units.
Destroying enemy bases and defending your bases against waves of attacks generate resources but hard fights can cost a lot more than they give.
Build multiple bases to collect resources, produce units, research upgrades and defend your territory.
Each base location has different terrain features. Some make good production bases and others are better suited for building a strong defence.
