basically they just renamed pixel overlord in google play and made it another game, this game is quite essentially trap, the worst kind of dupe system for idle games.
"Why?!" because to raise star of a character you need another specific character, so it doesn't matter even if they give you 9999 free draws(which you will have to clear stage/login etc first to get them).
"so it's not so bad then?" well not so fast... because you can get an epic(4star) character in gacha as 5star, yep it will fk you up.
