Here I stepped into Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown expecting nostalgia… but this one doesn’t just rely on the past — it builds something sharp and modern. From the first few minutes, the game feels fast. Not just movement, but everything — combat, platforming, transitions. You’re not walking through levels, you’re flowing through them. Running on walls, dashing through traps, chaining attacks — it all clicks smoothly. The combat is surprisingly deep. It’s not just jumping and slashing. You’ve got combos, parries, special abilities, and timing that actually matters. Enemies aren’t there just to slow you down — they push you to play better. Platforming is where the game shines the most. Every section feels like a challenge designed to test your reflexes. Traps, spikes, moving platforms — it’s tight, precise, and sometimes brutal. But when you pull it off, it feels clean. The world design follows that metroidvania style — you explore, unlock abilities, and come back to areas that once blocked you. It gives that constant sense of progress without feeling lost. Visually, it’s not ultra-realistic, but it doesn’t need to be. The art style is colorful, smooth, and fits the fast gameplay perfectly. Now the downside — some sections can feel frustrating, especially when difficulty spikes suddenly. And if you’re expecting a traditional Prince of Persia story vibe, this one feels a bit different. Still… it stands on its own. This isn’t just a nostalgia trip. It’s a skill-based platformer that respects your reflexes and rewards your patience. If you want a slow story-driven game, this might not hit.

Review of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown v1.1.1a: A Persian Metroidvania Revival with Cultural Charm and Mobile Flaws About the Game and Developer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft Entertainment, is an action-adventure platformer in the Metroidvania genre, released in 2024 for consoles and PC, with the mobile version launched in 2025 for Android and iOS. The purchased version v1.1.1a (around $9.99) offers a complete, ad-free experience without in-app purchases. You play as Sargon, a young warrior from the Immortals, tasked with rescuing Prince Ghassan from the cursed Mount Qaf—a mythical Persian realm warped by time corruption. While the core game excels with fluid combat and exploration, the Android port is hindered by technical issues and design oversights that dim its brilliance.

The latest gem from that failing studio called Ubisoft, in this case Ubisoft Montpellier. The port is well done, port carried out  by Ubisoft da Nang, really well done and has nothing to envy to the console version, It's a well-made metroidvania with good mechanics and difficulties balanced at high levels and good touch controls, if necessary you can connect an external gamepad, worth the money It cost.
