AFK Journey: Homestead

The developers have now implemented a power level compensation system for free fragments, but I still have a few points to make:  "Free maxed-out characters" might instantly raise your heroes to their current maximum level, but the power curve is already abnormally high, meaning the subsequent stages of the game will have to be specifically designed to counter this, or even require adjustments to the game's data.  Sensitive players have probably already noticed the problem—why do the monsters "target key heroes"?

I've given up all hope on Chinese mobile games, completely: There's not enough randomness, no narrative drive, the reward feedback is completely unsatisfying, and the entire screen is covered with payment prompts, making it destined to be a flashy, predatory mobile game. The power difference between key heroes is extremely significant, and the requirements for team composition in both PvE and PvP are extremely rigid.  The highest level of character development doesn't guarantee victory with a reasonable team.  Choosing the wrong characters means getting stuck immediately. 💔💰💔

The game is amazing including the art style, you can get almost all characters except for celestials and hypogeans but once you finish the starter story it will just become a constant grinding you will stop enjoying the game, and when it comes to arena and some other game modes it very bad they won't let you use your real character level and those who use the help of an a.i. to make teams even when they are low level being on how level won't matter which will make you feel like you waited to level up your character for nothing and the seasonal content starts late for most region so some region will have advantages. I got bored and felt like my progression was worthless.

surprisingly good with interesting lore and new seasons of storyline every so often. you can get quite good without money, but some things might have you spend a day or so away from the game so you can gather materials from the afk gathering part

This game is great, i like the story and mechanics. Unfortunately, it lags a bit on my phone

Updated October 2025 Review AFK Journey, launched in March 2024 by Lilith Games (now under Farlight Games), has evolved significantly over the past 18 months into a more robust idle RPG. With multiple seasons, new heroes, and quality-of-life updates, it builds on its 3D foundation while addressing some early criticisms. However, core issues like aggressive monetization and progression walls remain. 

This game is made with beautiful and satisfying graphics, not much different from other open world games, we can get prizes and small challenges while exploring the world,  The events in this game are also varied, not long, but interesting (because of the prizes) This is quite a relaxing game too, it might even make you sleepy. I've played this game, until I got all the cards and upgraded all the characters to high levels, and I think it's satisfying.

Game is extremely repetitive. Grew tired of the same content quickly. Game on release was new & refreshing, unfortunately afk games imo lack too much interactive gameplay.

A very beautiful and fun game, but the problem is the lack of diversity in the game. I hope to add beautiful mods and strong and fast characters.
