Legendary Wars

Picture this, you’re a 10 year old, out with your mother in some random cafe with her friends and you’re absolutely bored out of your mind. You then ask your mother if you could borrow her ipad to play some of the new games she downloaded to keep YOU busy. It was 2014, games were free and life was good. This game had a significant impact of the type of games and media I come to love. My favorite character was the golem, I loved their look, the way they would move, and kind of grim, but even the way they’d melt as they perish. The game was full to the brim with childish wiles despite being a game about war. It was a game that conquered such a heavy topic with silliness, dwarves, rainbows, and quite literally unicorns. This game subjected my young mind to the idea of strategy, but it wasn’t that aspect of it that made me stay; that made me love it. It was the story. I was compelled to see where this one knight and this miner would end up. What’s the origin of the problems that were happening in Legendaria? What exactly was the end to all these problems, where homes and lands were being burned, rotted, and destroyed? Why were all these heroes so desperate to fight against such travesty? All of the answers to the question you have, you yourself will have to piece through strategic gameplay, great reflexes, and good resource allocation skills. Overall, this game built my childhood mobile experience and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I crave playing it, too bad EA ruined the possibility of enjoying my childish wiles.
