I recently revisited this game the developer easy tech has made a truly amazing strategy game that combines some rpg elements such as equipping gear and ranking up generals and couple with being able to mix and match countless types and even formation of units that have specific terrain bonuses/unit skills/legion passive effects and counter bonuses makes this tactical game truly shine.
There is also an extensive historical campaign and a hero legends story campaign which spotlights the officers historical stories. There is a free conquest mode where you can change the fate of a historical faction and conquer territory and forge alliances definite must play for strategy and history fans.

European War 7 is a strategy game with plenty of politics, battles, and well... strategizing. There are plenty of episodes, starting off with the fall of the Western Roman Empire. It touches on several huge historical events, such as the Viking invasions, the Crusades, and more.
The gameplay is a bit like Total War, but in episodes, as players build their own empire, raise armies, form alliances, and attack their enemies. Raising armies take resources, so players must know where to harvest these resources, such as iron. Much like Total War, it's pretty turn-based, though lacks the tactical RTS battles of Total War.

After downloading it yesterday, I have experienced it until now. Let me tell you a little about my feelings.
(1) Advantages
There are many levels and rich content.
There are many types of generals, arms and equipment.
The conquest mode is more playable, and the new diplomacy mode brings more possibilities.
