Nexon has taken the style they ripped from Ragnarok and the shaders from Darkness Rises and combined them into something both modern and retro. It even has a story that doesn't immediately trigger an urge to press skip in search of the next battle.
Adding support for landscape and portrait is a massively underrated feature. It allows convenience, or even simple preference. I prefer portrait games on the go when I want to play with one hand, but landscape when dedicating my full attention. This has both.
Auto battle is practically Nexon's religion, but it is nice to see they are trying to make it feel less like a punishment to those willing to learn. You will quickly find that set it and forget it is an expensive and time-consuming decision. Death is this game means retrieving your characters from town. Is it really worth the hassle?
I was pleasantly surprised at how few aggressive popups tried to sell me something. This could be a result of the soft launch, but I hope it's Nexon finally learning to back off. With less pressure, I finally have a chance to enjoy a Nexon title.

Why is that? It isn't a mobile game or a title that Nexon has published, so it doesn't really further the point that they recycled ideas.
