This game is not intended for anyone who cannot read Japanese. It is heavily story-based.
That said, the graphics are mediocre. There is very little action and much of the story is told using static images that transition throughout the dialog. The only way to provide bad graphics using this method would be using low-resolution images or poor transitions.
The battles are similar to every ship fight in appearance, but use a turn-based system to prevent being too overwhelming. The specials are not nearly as important as the tutorial made them appear, so the battles are a bit slow.
The UI reminds me of games like Cytus by using the scrolling selectors. The sound of each button is a good fit, which makes the UI feel like a good fit. Unfortunately, the UI was the most interesting aspect of the game. While the story is interesting, the design made it feel slow.
If you are looking for a visual novel with a little more action than a romance novel, this is worth a try. If you were expecting a ship battle, you may want to consider something else.
