Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Is Finally Getting an English Release
TL;DR: Mobile JRPG Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be released in North America and Europe this year, with more details to be announced in mid-February.
Square Enix announced during yesterday's livestream that Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be released in North America and Europe this year. Also, a closed beta test is scheduled for spring.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a free-to-play prequel to the award-winning RPG Octopath Traveler, where you will start an epic journey across the fantasy world of Orsterra and discover the story of eight travelers.
While the original work allows four characters for battles, this prequel extends the number of characters to eight. Also, there will be three different plots in the game.
The game also stands out for its "HD-2D" art style with 3DCG's screen effects added, as you can find in the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent (JP) announcement trailer below.
The game launched in Japan in 2020, and is finally coming to the West.
More information regarding the English version of Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be revealed in mid-February.
