The comparison is unavoidable so I'm just gonna start off by saying it: it's basically 3D Azur Lane. As such the gameplay is very much like a bullet hell game, so battles are active. Dodging, aiming, and range are all important.
The story is a bit generic, so unless things get interesting later on it's pretty skippable in my opinion. The gameplay itself and the enjoyment of upgrading your fleet are the main draws here.
The gacha rate isn't bad either, around .5% for the best units. There's a pity system in place too that's very generous at only 59 pulls. The events are F2P-friendly and offer exclusive ships and weapons with enough time for everyone to earn them if they complete the daily event quests.
You need to use a Google account that can access the Japanese Play Store in order to download and enter the game, but once you've done so you don't need to use a VPN or do anything special from then on.
My screen translator wouldn't pick up the ship classes—I guess the font is too stylized. So here are some translations if anyone else needs them 🚢👯♂️
