Bionix: Spore & Bacteria Simulator Review—A Microscopic View of a Dog-Eat-Dog World

As days lengthen and temperatures rise in early spring, the earth bursts with life once more—buds begin to fatten and then unfurl fresh, green leaves while hibernating animals rouse from their slumber.

There's nothing I'd give to leave my housemate's idea of a spontaneous countryside getaway in the idyllic Monmouthshire, Wales.

Out to the cosy cafe, I can't help taking deep inhales of fresh air as everything is blooming and fragrant. I'd genuinely love it if my mask isn't obstructing the way, don't you? 😔

Hence, I find myself diving into the world of Bionix - Spore & Bacteria Simulator (Bionix) as a bacteria. Ain't it nice to finally be on the other side of the spectrum?

I was first greeted with a page that allows you to choose your poison before being thrown into a microscopic dog-eat-dog world teeming with single-cell organisms.

Since growth is part and parcel of being a bacteria, the developer, Just For Fun Games, has me traversing a perilous simulation that's brimming with foes. 

Whenever these dreadful organisms become far too overwhelmingly powerful, I'd die a horrible death before returning to the beginning of the stage again (Fun, innit?). What I was most thankful for was that I didn't have to suffer a severe degree of repercussions for each death that I had landed myself into.

Desperate to strengthen up, I braced myself and my fill of cells and microbes, attacking foes whenever I was strong enough to. With the considerable depth of choices available for the viable build, I've discovered how much of an indecisive person I can be (so, don't judge).

On a different note, the influx of ads bombarding the screen certainly engenders my gaming experience to be less enjoyable. Wouldn't you think so? Even though it may be less than a minute long, I still find that they are a great way to disrupt the momentum and atmosphere built up since the beginning of the game.

Bionix seems like a lovely simulation game to get yourself into, as it has proven itself to be a brilliant choice to immerse yourself in, especially in short bursts. So, if you're into immersing yourself in a dog-eat-dog world or an intriguing simulation game, be sure to brace yourself for the journey and prove yourself to the world here.
