The First Professional League of Wild Rift to Kick off on March 19th

The league for League of Legends: Wild Rift (WRL) will debut at 17:00 on March 19th. Right now, a total of 12 teams are slated for the upcoming competitions.

On the first day, FPX will be in a matchup with TT, while JT competes against KBG and EDG competes against RNG. The other six participants are JDG, NV, OC, OMG, WBG and WHG. 

For the competition system, the first stage of the Split will start on March 19th and end on April 10th. All matches are played in Bo3. The top six teams will enter the Challenger Group, and the bottom six teams will enter the Breakout Group.

In the second stage that lasts from April 13th to 23rd, the top four teams in the Challenger Group advance to the Playoffs. In the meantime, the top two teams from the Breakout Group will compete against the bottom two teams of the Challenger Group to determine the two playoffs spots. The two winners advance to the Playoffs.

In March, the champion and runner-up from the Spring Season will compete against the two top teams from the qualifiers to enter matches for the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship, the highest-level competition of WRL scheduled for this summer in Europe.
