Don't Starve: Newhome Expectation
Welcome to the Don't Starve franchise! As many people have wanted an official game from the franchise for mobile, Klei Entertainment and affiliated partners are now bringing it to your very own handheld device. Don't Starve: Newhome is a survive with your friends game where the aim of the game is to build your own house and solve scattered puzzles to more than likely unlock things. The franchise has always garnered respect from veteran players for being quite the difficult task when it first launched for PC back years ago. This game might not be for everyone, but it does bring a top quality experience to it's own field of expertise.
Don't Starve: Newhome much like other games in the franchise is going to feature some very hard battles that not everyone will finish. Bosses and monsters are expertly crafted to enhance the survival aspect and show players how hard it can be to survive random encounters inside of the game. Safe to say that if you don't improve slightly, you might never stand a chance.
Crafting is an essential part of the Don't Starve games. Players must learn what certain things do and how to stay alive with bare essentials when it comes to getting through the tough nights. Recipes range from things such as a campfire to self-made electricity for your character to use. Players will probably have memorized a lot of things before they manage to beat the game to the fullest extent.
With this game comes the ability to make your own home. This aspect comes as a surprise since previous titles have never really lead to this type of endgame content, but rather, players would have to do make-shift campsites in order to survive. Players can expect groundbreaking developements with this type of gameplay as I feel it has not been overly used in the franchise until now.
This leads to one of the more important features of this game's release, Multiplayer. While some veterans tend to tough it out on their own, most loved playing the game beforehand with their group of friends. The game can be hard at all times and it helps to bring the gang along to help with those hard situations. This does however make it harder to manage things such as food since you are going to have a bigger party than if you were playing on your own.
Last but not least, Puzzles. Having previously had it's own twist endings and puzzles to solve, this game is no different. Players will have to use their brain in order to become the best and survive the apocalypse that is, Don't Starve: Newhome. Solving these puzzles do however reward the player with various outcomes, such as unlocking boss fights, giving them items, or just helping them figure out a new path to take.
