Hoplite makes you take strategic decisions on when and where to move your single character by predicting the moves of computer-controlled characters. This, though tricky, is quite easy once you properly and neatly understand the game mechanics. It's doesn't take too much time to complete the dungeons. It would be nice to be able to save progress at certain depths (maybe there is, I've only gotten down to 16 so far), so when you need to stop playing you don't lose progress. Enemy types abide by a strict set of rules and the more you play the better you can predict what the right moves may be, but the random boards, increasing difficulty, and customizable skills that you unlock as you play. There is Some challenging achievements, Overall i enjoy the old school upgrade system.
