Stunning and a little eerie - The Mooseman Review

It's been a while since the last time I played a game that's so visually stunning that I just couldn't stop taking screenshots, which made me so happy when I found about The Mooseman.

(The art is so powerful I ran out of words to describe it.)

The game, espcailly the soundtrack and artstyle, is inspired by ancient myths of finno-ugric tribes. You will find yourself in a gloomy, cold and damp forest, walking alone and slowly to explore the world of spirits. On your journey you will unlock the myths, which is both fascinating and gives you the hint to solve the upcoming puzzles. BTW, the idea of switching world to have different views and obstacles remind me of Hue.

The gameplay is not perfect. There's no runnning option so you will have to walk slowly, even in a chase. I understand someone may think this is tedious, but rushing to finish all the puzzles will only damage your experience. Consider this an exhibit in the gallaery, or an illustration book of folktales. Just take some time to enjoy it.

You will need to pay for the entire game but trust me, it's worth it. I would recommend playing it in a bigger screen though.
