Welcome to the second dev-log for Mecha Attack!

Visual Update
As the game has progressed in development the main thing that you will notice is that futuristic side of the game visually showing up more, we as a team of 5 are all big fans of Anime like Evangelion, Attack On Titan and Edgerunners.
We wanted to bring a cyberpunk/futuristic style to the game from day one, you have seen the abandoned starting area from our tutorial but we have expanded to earths (Planet #1) main area, you will be able to explore cities, towns and landscapes via your vehicles (including grapple hooks!) that you can spawn ready player one style!
Vehicles
Traversal in a game like Mecha Attack is something that we realized would get boring fast if all you could do is sprint and climb, you will be able to use a multitude of vehicles in Mecha Attack, from bikes, hoverbikes, cars and the infamous Grapple Gear!
Gunplay

I want to address how Gunplay works in the game, all characters come with their own unique gun type, this is something that can be used as a secondary attack separate from your characters melee class type, we have tied gunplay to character level and not to the type of gun, this means that if you enjoy a certain style of gunplay you don't have to worry about them being underpowered compared to a class with bigger gun! We want to reward players for grinding their own character type that they prefer instead of forcing players to get a character they don't like just to have an easier time in fights.
Addressing Pay 2 Win Concerns
I want to be 100% transparent, this is obviously a title that for us as a small studio needs to make a profit, but we believe that the community for games like this love characters for their designs/kits, not for the fact that they are just pay 2 win, with that in mind we want to make a game where we focus on that visual side for microtransactions and keep Pay 2 Win out of our game going forward as a way to show to you that we are dedicated to our motto at BLACKBOX Studios which is to build games for and with the community!

Hope this is and "addition" and not a "change" because i really loved the style of green areas with futuristic technology abandoned like Horizon Zero Dawn and Breath Of The Wild. Be aware that this two games are unique and original.

This is just from a city area, the game has a lot of abandoned areas but the style of the game is updating as we develop.

hey swammy I can't wait to play this incredible futuristic game. I've played your aot fan game and it's super cool. I mean I played many aot games on mobile but for your game is the best aot fan game on mobile so far. I hope this game becomes successful. Related to p2w, that's something I always said... a company make lots of profit out of visual alone. Most players like to look good smh, and would buy all the clothes on the store. So this is great.

Exactly what we thought, with other gacha games they add p2w to characters when players only want the characters typically for the visuals of said character

Will enemies scale with the player's level or areas I think it should be areas because when enemies scale with you like in Tower of Fantasy it removes all sense of the player becoming stronger because everything in the open world will be challenging even after 100+ hours in the game

Looking great so far; I think the gameplay needs more improvement though, but there’s room for that luckily. Just take your time working on the development step by step, and more great results will be shown. So far, it’s a great start.

I heard a long time ago that traversal can make or break a game. 70% if not more of most open world game are spent traveling, and to make it fun to do is (in my eye) important. Wuthering waves has me excited because of the flash step and grapple traversal movement that has been shown. its good to hear Mecha Attack is also putting time into traversal utilities! good luck!!!
