Player of the week - Exelero

Quite a few people nominated Genshin Impact as the most visually stunning game in #TapTapExplorerS2, but Exelero is the one that really stands out with a brief review that many Genshin players can relate to. After taking some time to check out his YouTube page and TapTap game collection, my humble guess was: aha, this guy must be a huge fan of anime-style games. And my guess is right. “Something Japanese. This is what best describes my taste,“ he elaborated a bit on his one-phrase self-introduction.
I would describe Exelero as a real pro in mobile games. He started his gaming life at the age of 5 (which really surprised me) and was once an active player in games including Social Empires and Dragon Cities. Later one of his friends recommended Grand Summoners to him and his affection for Japanese-style RPGs continued to grow. Exelero also loves rhythm games such as BanG Dream and Project Sekai (and don't miss his wonderful review on Deemo II). He does, however, play PC games, just not that often. “My uncle had an Internet Cafe, and I used to play games a lot using the admin PC,” he recalled an interesting episode from his childhood memories.
While spending quite some time helping out in his grandma’s store, Exelero is currently attending an online university and focusing on Computer Science, with an aspiration to combine his professional knowledge and his hobbies. “I’m not interested in making my own game, but I’m pretty interested in the application of those data science stuff in MOBA/FPS games and eSports,” Exelero seems to have some particular preference for numbers and all kinds of analysis, and has been producing useful guides and tutorials for multiple games on his YouTube channel.
Besides his fondness for Japanese-style RPGs, Exelero is also quite into J-POP music and anime. What’s interesting is that though preferring dogs more in real life, he actually loves cats more in animes. “In animes, I prefer cats. I love Neko girls,” he said with a laugh. Well, who doesn’t love Neko girls? Exelero specified that he loves the romance genre and those fighting animes with some Isekai elements, but hates those long ones that usually last for a lot of seasons, and I guess we just found another common ground.
Technically speaking, Exelero was my very first interviewee, but we really enjoyed the chat about games, animes, and about him. If you also feel enchanted by the charm of anime-style RPGs and would like to refer to some practical guides, do feel free to maybe have some random chat with Exelero. I’m pretty sure it’s worth the time.
