I really wanted to love this game as much as all of the others with the same art style and the same mechanics, but it was slightly less impressive. Once I reached 1-3, it became downright pathetic.
The story is animated, but there is no voice acting to most of it and the sound gives the impression that every little event and scene has its own song. This results in listening to constantly changing music play as you scroll through a lot of text.
The battles are fairly generic for this type of game, but the default camera sensitivity is a bit high. You will find some enemies spawn behind you and turning to face them can result in motion sickness. Once you reach 1-3, the game unlocks an auto battle button. Most games strive to be first to offer features or improvements, but this is heresy. No game of this type should ever be automated.
It is a decent game if you have never played one like it and really don't want to "play" in the literal sense. Compared to others like it, this one is only mediocre. For those that only play games to show off their stats (but aren't concerned with actually earning them), you now have a game like this made for you.
