South Korean Developer is Turning the Horror-thriller Netflix Series Kingdom into an Action Game
Action Square, a prestigious mobile action game developer, is developing an action game that utilizes the leading role of Kingdom, a Netflix horror series from South Korea, which has enthralled zombie enthusiasts around the world.
Kingdom, which was released on Netflix in January last year, is a series that is gaining popularity both domestically and around the world with its unique setting of a mystery thriller set in the Joseon Dynasty, the tense plot and cool development by the star writer Kim Eun-hee.
Action Square announced on the 1st that it has signed a game development contract with the production company A Story (241840) using the Kingdom IP.
It is planning to develop a high-quality zombie action game that reproduces the original attractive characters and settings using Kingdom IP, and utilizes the action game development know-how accumulated through the blade series, like Three Kingdoms Blade.
Sejun Ko, CEO of Action Square Dev said that, "Kingdom is an excellent IP specializing in the action game genre. We will develop and present it.”
Lee Sang-baek, CEO of A Story, said, “We are pleased to make a new attempt to expand Kingdom IP to another level with Action Square, which has achieved great success in mobile action games. I will actively support the development so that it can be done.”
