Free Fire OB40 Update: New Pet, Character, and Exciting Features

The highly anticipated Free Fire OB40 update is set to launch on May 31st, 2023. This update promises a wealth of new features such as game modes, pets, guns, and much more.

**New Character: Sonia**

The OB40 update will introduce Sonia, a passive ability-based character with a unique survival ability called Nano Lifeshield. This ability provides shield protection for a few seconds after taking fatal damage and allows players to knock down enemies while restoring HP.

**Alok's Awakened Skills**

Fan-favorite character Alok will receive an upgrade in the form of 'awakened skills', boosting his speed and healing power.

**Introducing Pug: The New Pet**

The OB40 update will also feature a new pet named Pug, which can be equipped with other pets' skills. Players can unlock Pug through top-up events or purchase it from the in-game store later.

**Character Reworks and UI Changes**

Characters like Dimitri, Oliva, and others will undergo changes to better suit the gaming dynamics. Expect alterations in the pre-match lobby and resource availability as well.

**New Gel Wall Mechanic**

The Creator of Ice will be introduced in the next Free Fire update. This feature produces ice walls during matches without needing to search for them across the map. However, there is a storage limit for ice walls.

**Dual Skills in Contra Squad Matches**

From the OB40 update onwards, players can equip two active skills on their characters during Contra Squad matches. This enables testing various skill combinations like Dimitri + Chrono or Wukong + Tatsuya.

The Free Fire OB40 update is scheduled for May 31, 2023. Keep in mind that Garena's Battle Royale servers will go down during the update, and players must upgrade to the new version.
