Champion Shift: Developer Update and Demo Release

Hello everyone!

Today the journey towards the full version of the game begins with the release of the Champion Shift Demo, and new gameplay trailer!  Make sure to download it, take it for a spin, and join us in our Discord. At SRG Studios we are incredibly excited to welcome you all to our community, listen to your feedback and suggestions, and together make Champion Shift into something special.

Project Roadmap

As we traverse the road to a 1.0 release, many milestones lay ahead, and we can’t wait to tackle them head on.  To give you all a glimpse of what is to come, we are releasing our first version of Champion Shift’s roadmap, which will be updated as more content is added to the game.

Let’s break it down a bit.  The first thing we have to mention is that Champion Shift will feature online CO-OP, and as action-roguelike players ourselves, we are really pumped about this. To get the game there, we are currently in the process of incorporating some pretty cool networking technology (more info soon!). This co-op feature will be included in our Champion Shift: Prologue build, which is slated for release in September 2023.

The Prologue will bring us closer to a more complete version of the game, with more features, unlocks, Champions, Celestial Gifts and stages! This is our main focus right now, and all your feedback in regards to the demo will greatly impact our assessment of the fun-factor of the game (Reminder: Join our Discord!).

The next stop on our journey will be our Early Access, starting in November 2023, followed by the full 1.0 release of the game in February 2024. The full game will have some pretty cool community features, that we will be talking about more in the upcoming months, but suffice to say that players will be able to compete in tournaments and leaderboards, with some surprising game modes thrown in.  It is still in its early phases, but we are designing it to be a fun and worthwhile experience for our players.

Our decade’s long journey as a game development studio has brought us here, and we can’t wait to keep showing you the development process of Champion Shift, its characters, locations, story, and tons of abilities. We want to see the community wrecking the Dominion, cycling multiple times to the end boss, getting a billion upgrades and completely breaking the game.
