Get a snack or have something prepared for eating, as this is a loong one.
This year was packed. Not only by the amount of games, but also the quality of them. It is possibly the best year for videogames that I will ever see.
We saw great games like Mario Wonder, and Zelda. And my favorite game of all time, Baldur’s Gate 3.
And also a great year for Esports. As I detail down the line, I will only say one word, and the ones who know will know. MVP

For game of the year I had it really simple, I loved all the games that came out this year, BUT BG3 for me was something else. I played non stop for a week straight until I got 100%, and then went on to play it 2 more times.
Yeah, Zelda is a good game, but it is mainly a sequel, and not a bad one, and it would be my game of the year if BG3 didn’t exist. But is the same as Spider-Man 2 for me, the first one was the shock, the second, is just more of the same, better, but the same.
Resident Evil 4 is a good game, and so is Alan Wake 2, but I don’t think they are comparable to Baldur’s Gate 3.
And Super Mario is a great game, but is just another Mario game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the best on every single point, its creative vision, and the in game direction and design are probably the best I will ever see.
===[Best Narrative]===
I mean, the storytelling in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the best I’ve ever seen. Nothing else to say.
Alan wake is a good one, but not as good as Baldur’s.
From Cyberpunk I have to say that the show Edgerunners made me replay the whole game another time (for the 4th time). And The DLC is probably one of the best DLCs I’ve played but, its not Baldur’s Gate.
And for Final Fantasy I only have one thing to say. ¿Why the F are you here?
===[Best Art Direction]===
Trust me, if Baldur’s Gate 3 was here, I would choose it again.
But From these ones I have to go with Alan Wake 2, Hi-Fi Rush was super cool looking, but not enough to surpass how hyperrealistic Alan Wake 2 was.
And the same as before, I won’t choose Mario or Zelda because their art direction was already shown in other games. That doesn’t mean that I don’t like them, Their art direction is as good as they can get, and they are gorgeous to look at, but not as stunning as the first time.
===[Best Score And Music]===
Hi-Fi Rush was a tough contender, and Final Fantasy did an amazing job. But if you have played Baldur’s Gate 3, you know what I mean. feel free to jump to the next category, because I will talk about SPOILERS.
Once you reach the fight with Raphael, and he starts singing, is the only thing I need to put it above any of these games, that song was so good, and him singing it was the cherry on top.
===[Best Audio Design]===
This one was a tough choice, all of them were good contenders, well, except Spider-Man 2, I don’t even know how he made it here, while one of the main bugs had to do with its sound.
And yeah sure, its Audio DESIGN not audio in general, but man, its not comparable to the other 3.
===[Best Performance]===
Let’s just start by stating that I am a dude, but man I will let Astarion bite me every single time.
If he wasn’t here, I would pick Idris Elba. followed closely by Ben Starr. Both of them do great jobs, and made me like the characters. But you know, they are not vampire spawns who ask politely (after trying it while I was sleeping) to SUCK my blood.
===[Innovation In Accessibility]===
I’m not used to watch for the Accessibility settings, but one that I saw, and I miss here is Hogwarts Legacy (I’m a huge fan of the Harry Potter series), I knew about them cause I saw it on a video of a content creator who I don’t remember the name. And I’m kinda sad, because it is probably the only category in which I could’ve voted it.
So I will just vote for Forza, because I saw someone play it by just pressing a button with all the accessibility settings on and it ended first in the race. And if you can play it and enjoy it while having only 2 years, it deserves this spot.
===[Games For Impact]===
I haven’t played any of these, but I ABSOLUTELY refuse to vote a game with a cover full of furries.
So I just used a Die, and ended up being the first one.
===[Best Ongoing]===
How did Cyberpunk got into this category, it only got a patch and a dlc, all of the rest were fixing bugs.
With that out of the way, I don’t play any of these, but all I hear about Final Fantasy XIV are good things, and that I should give it a try, so I will give it to them.
===[Best Community Support]===
There is not a single person in this planet that could make me change opinions on this one. Baldur’s Gate 3 got 3 patches in the first months addressing thousands of bugs and implementing a lot of features that the players wanted, like an alternative ending for Karlach or the wardrobe. And I’m not even getting in the 3 years of beta full of tweaking and implementing stuff coming from the community.
And you have to have some big balls to put here Destiny 2 with what happened recently with its micro transactions.
===[Best Independent Game]===
Cocoon was so different from the other ones that playing it didn’t feel like playing a videogame, it was more like painting. Everything was soo good looking and its puzzles were so well thought that I have to give it to them.
Nevertheless Dave the Diver and Dredge were two beautifully made games, I loved the gameplay loop of Dave the Diver, and Dredge has some thigs that set it apart form the rest.
===[Best Debut Indie Game]===
For the same reason as the one before.
===[Best Mobile Game]===
Let’s be quick with this one.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. I wont’ vote a F*** gatcha
Hello Kitty Island Adventure. I won’t vote nor play a Hello Kitty game
Honkai: Star Rail. I wont’ vote a F*** gatcha
Monster Hunter Now. Pokemon Go but with monsters.
Terra Nil. The vote goes for this on due to lack of competitors.

I don’t have a VR set, so I can’t vote on this one, but the Resident Evil Village was a good game, so I gave it to them.
===[Best Action Game]===
I haven’t played Armored Core yet, so I will give this one to Remnant 2 because it has quickly become one of my favorite games.
===[Best Action / Adventure]===
For Action / Adventure, I have to pick Zelda, mainly because if it was survival horror Zelda wouldn’t be here and it would go automatically to Alan Wake 2, even though Resident Evil 4 is a great game, but is action not survival.
===[Best RPG]===
Who made this category? How can you fathom to put Baldur’s Gate 3 side by side with Final Fantasy XVI and Lies Of P as best RPG. Lies Of P is a great action game, but RGP?
And one year Bethesda will learn how to make videogames and not bring us the first thing they make.
They should only allow one option in this one.
===[Best Fighting]===
I don’t play fighting games, but I like to watch all the fatalities that they bring, and loved the personage of Jonny Cage.
===[Best Family]===
It automatically goes to Super Mario Bros Wonder, because its the only one that I played.
===[Best Sim / Strategy]===
Jus gonna say that Cities: Skylines II was just unplayable from launch and had to be capped at 30 fps.
So let’s just take it out of the equation and roll a dice.
===[Best Sports / Racing]===
I only played Forza, so this was an easy one.
===[Best Multiplayer]===
I got to play Baldur’s Gate 3 with two friends, and just went to pee, in little under 5 minutes, we were fighting all the druids on the starting zone, because they failed a check and didn’t want to say sorry 10/10.
===[Best Adaptation]===
It was between Castelvania: Nocture or The Last Of Us. And I chose the last one even though I love the Castelvania series, because it was just so well put together, and the chapter of the two guys living together was… ugh. And Pedro Pascal. Need I say more?
===[Best Anticipated Game]===
Where is Silksong, and Stalker 2?
And Even though I’m just so Hyped to know how they will destroy Final Fantasy VII, I have to vote for Hades II.
===[Content Creator Of The Year]===
I don’t know any of these, and this category should not even be a thing in the Game Awards but ok.
That said, I won’t vote for a Vtuber, so I Will roll a dice without one option.
===[Best Esports Game]===
I always follow both Valorant and League Of Legends, even now that I don’t play neither of them. But this year I gotta give it to Valorant, as there is a spanish player that is rising to the top let’s go Fith1nho.
===[Best Esports Athlete]===
This year Faker is doing an incredible job, even carriying T1 in some spots (and the have a hell of a team). But if you know something about the Valorant Scene, you know when I say : “Respect my f*** name”.
And Demon1 standing on the table while the whole stadium was chanting mvp, mvp, just gives me chills every time I see it. If you haven’t seen it, make yourself a favor and search MVP Demon1 in Google right now.

This year I just didn’t feel the same about League Of Legends, the song wasn’t as good for me, and is not the same as when I saw the dragon with holograms for the first time, or the KDA performance, or when I went to watch it IRL. Meanwhile the skins for the Valorant Champions are lit. So they get this one.
