Has POTENTIAL But Needs Work | Dynasty Warriors M Global Review
Dynasty Warriors is a series that has gone on for so long that it has created a sub-genre within the hack’n’slash umbrella of video games that follow after its formula of grand epic scale and gratuitous action. Dynasty Warriors M tries to bring the time-tested formula to the mobile field, which is being developed by Nexon and officially licensed by Koei Tecmo.
When you first start, Dynasty Warriors M’s gameplay revolves around three major parts: Story mode, conquest, and base-building.
Base-building is self-explanatory. As your main hub of operations, your city base is a place that allows you to accumulate important resources and perks you can use for your growing army.
Story mode and conquest both revolve around Dynasty Warriors main attraction: combat. Conquest mode lets you field up to three characters simultaneously depending on the level. If your power level is high enough, you can straight up just overpower your enemies and clear the stage without even playing.
This is where the tropes of mobile games are on their full display. You have to level up your characters, equip specific equipment to give them an edge, and assign tactics to give yourself a further boost on the battlefield.
If you’re in the mood for some mindless fun, Dynasty Warriors M might have what you need, but I’m not too sure about how much fun that will be in the long run.
