NetEase’s 5V5 shooter Hyper Front is making a return as ‘Operation Apocalypse’
First let’s talk about Hyper front.Hyper Front was an online mobile FPS game . One of the talking points about the game was became its close resemblance to Riot Games‘ popular shooter Valorant. Well, the ‘resemblance‘ was so great that NetEase was sued by Riot Games stating the game was “completely mirrored” and thus, the game had to ultimately shut down in 2023.
Operation Apocalypse is NetEase Games‘ latest sci-fi 5V5 shooter that utilizes Unreal Engine 4 for the stunning graphics it deliver and opened pre-registrations in China. Now, what has take my interest and within the fans is that this title seems to be the defunct Hyper Front under a new name, but currently, the official information isn’t out yet.
.Like Valorant, “Operation Apocalypse” offers a diverse roster of characters, each with unique abilities. Coupled with an extensive arsenal of weapons, players can tailor their load-outs to dominate.
Excitingly, “Operation Apocalypse” isn’t limited to mobile. NetEase has obtained a license for PC, hinting at cross-platform play. So far the game is only available in China but a global version is very likely to happen especially if NetEase wants to compete against Valorant.
Will the Operation Apocalypse successfully dominated the Mobile FPS or have a fate like Hyper front???
