I have mixed feelings about a gacha aspect in certain sports games. Having actually played golf, I can say that a good set of clubs can impact your performance. I have never gone to a sporting goods store and handed them a wad of cash to roll dice for what club I received, though.
With so many games focused on fighting and the amount of aggression you encounter both in and out of matches, my experience can best be described as relaxing. I have found that a lot of games by this developer have awkward mechanics that do not fit the theme, such as soccer with cards. The mechanics for this game are a solid fit.
The graphics are good and the UI is not crowded, while still running smooth and providing enough content to avoid feeling oversimplified.
I really enjoyed this game. Even if you aren't a huge fan of golf, why not try something that doesn't make you attack your friends?
BEWARE: There is a cheat that some people are using where they cause your score card to freeze. You have to force close the game, but the timer is still running for the next round. If your score card does not immediately give the option to continue, quit and restart as quickly as possible to minimize the number of missed shots. Unfortunately, the game has no option to report these players.
