To preserve a sense of realism, many shooter games incorporate weapon recoil into their gameplay mechanics; the same is true in Sausage Man.
Do you notice that when using fully automatic fire, your aim becomes increasingly unstable the longer you maintain fire?
Don’t worry, the battle royale queen herself, Ayaka, a.k.a. yours truly, is here to gift you the knowledge of recoil control!
Firstly, what is recoil control? Basically, it involves minimizing weapon instability by using the gyroscope or dragging on the screen to stabilize your aim down while shooting.
Let us compare the differences between firing with and without recoil control.
Without recoil control:In this video, it’s obvious that the bullet spray increases the longer the weapon is fired, making hitting your target increasingly unlikely. Not good!
With recoil control:In this video, after using the recoil control technique by manually pulling the weapon down, weapon accuracy is more stable even as it maintains fully automatic fire.
So how do we do that? The main point of recoil control is to drag the screen to pull the moving crosshair back on target. In this game, we do it via two ways.
This first method is dragging the screen to pull the crosshair back on target. It can be done two ways:
1. Firing with your right hand, drag the firing button on the right to control recoil. This way, your left hand is freed to execute movement controls. This is most used in close-quarters or while shooting and moving.
2. Firing with your left hand, while dragging on an empty space on the screen to control recoil. This requires both hands to perform, so you won’t be able to move, but you’ll be more accurate!
The second method uses your smartphone’s gyroscope. Of course, you’ll have to activate the gyroscope in your Settings interface. When firing while aiming, slowly rotate your phone downward to counteract the recoil. This method takes some getting used to, but it can improve your recoil control immensely. Only those who try it will understand its awesomeness!
Aside from that, there might be a few Islanders who are unable to properly control recoil for whatever reason. If you count yourself as one of them, you can adjust the sensitivity of your most frequently used scope, found in the Settings here:-If your weapon continues to kick upward, increase the corresponding scope’s sensitivity value.
-When weapon sway becomes too much while scoping, decrease the corresponding scope’s sensitivity value.
After spending some time tweaking these settings, you should be able to find a sweet spot that will be exclusive for each scope and weapon. Due to varying recoil levels, we advise using different scopes to set your main and secondary weapons’ exclusive sensitivity.
A few additional tips to increase shooting stability:
1. A complete firearm accessory set can drastically decrease weapon recoil; you can choose the accessories based on your preference.
2. Your scope choice can also affect recoil control, so practice with different scopes in the Training Grounds.
3. Use your own intuition to correct your aim and maintain weapon stability.
If you’re an experienced islander who knows your way with guns, share your recoil control tips in the comments section below. I, too, would like to return to the Training Grounds and practice to become the Shooting King on Sausage Island!
That is all for this episode, I’ll see you all next time!
