I also tested to update GI without need to download "Pre-install Resource"

I have some changes in storage management of the game, comparing the before 2.1 and after 2.2.

Before 2.1 (2.0 for reference):

After 2.2 installed:

The App size of the installed game before 2.1 (2.0 for reference) is about ~1.40 GB (Apk size: ~930 MB). Meanwhile, I installed the 2.2 is now incredibly reduced to 730 MB (Apk size: 359 MB). This is quite huge.

About the Pre-install Resource package, I'll forget to download. And its totally fine especially if you have 32GB, there are 30% chance to be successfully installed on not to waste to download Pre-install. Its totally fine for me after updated the game via TapTap, there is additional 4GB, just like the prevuous Pre-install package.

Updated to 2.2 (without pre-install)

After downloaded additional (just like Pre-install):

And its working fine for me! The previous version, the total size of the game in 2.1 is ~14.5GB (I don't remember). After 2.2 and downloaded all package, the total size will be ~15.2GB.

And yeah, Can you try without Pre-install package?

Advantage(s):

With Pre-install - Save time and, especially if you have slow internet connection.

Without Pre-install - Chances to successfully install/update the game and takes less file size stored on device (e.g. Will take ~2GB instead of ~4GB additional size).

Disadvantage(s):

With Pre-install - There are chances to fail on installation with free space below 3.5GB (with additional ~4GB pre-install resources were downloaded on the device)

Without Pre-install - Need to wait to download, and takes time to download on slow internent connection. But if you have fast download, it will speed up your download quickly.

To reduce the size of the game, go to in-game settings> Language> Manage Voice-over files, and delete the unused packages you've installed.

Not really as big, but with voice-over were installed it could be a total size of ~19.78 GB (almost 20GB) by adding voice-over with Chinese (1.55GB), Japanese (1.83GB), and Korean (1.56GB). [in Ver. 2.2]

SO if I don't install the package will it not crash anymore on Vivo phones??

No, it won't crash on downloading Pre-install Resource package on all devices. But I saw some of the reviews that some vivo phones may crash without reasons. I'm not sure if your device encounter this problem, you need to test it

Yeah, same for my device with 32GB capacity. Only EN voice were installed and I don't use JP, CN, KR languages anymore.

You need at least a minimum ~3.5GB or more free space before install/update the game. But I recommend about ~8GB or more free space to install/update if you have a previous version installed

No, no need to reinstall the game. Just leave/ignore the Pre-install Resource Package and update the game via TapTap/Google Play

It will appear the Pre-install Resource Package before the release, at the left side of the start screen, or in-game Settings> Other> Pre-install Resource Package. And it will disappear after the update
