Since the beginning of its alpha test on 18 January, Dead 4 Returns has attracted many enthusiastic players on TapTap. Up to today, the game has received a rating of 8.1 (on a scale of 0-10), over 140,000 pre-registrations, and a total of 160,000 installs. It has also received 232 pieces of valuable suggestions and reported bugs from 84 players who filled the survey questionnaire. The test was an evaluation of our performance which helped us figure out the direction of our future work. So, on behalf of our team, I'd like to thank you all for your kindness and support.
Based on the test results, we'd like to share our current development progress and plan for a new game version with you:
The new version is planned to focus on PVE mode (both campaign and multiplayer modes) which most of you are interested in. Systems of training, strength and ranked matches are also mentioned in our future development plan. We will present a new version with new heroes, new Necromorphs, and new maps as soon as possible.
So, the work of our team will be centered on the development of a new game version. For the purpose of providing a better game experience in the future, our alpha test server of Dead 4 Returns will be closed starting at 11:00 on 31 March, 2022. During the period, the game server will be closed, the game data of the test will be deleted, and players will not be able to log into the game. We are very sorry if this causes you any inconvenience. Thank you all again for playing our game! We are sure the new test version will be more improved and mature.
And, in order to better polish the game and have more players participate in making the game, we plan to carry out activities such as Face-to-Face Design, Research with Players on TapTap and Discord (https://discord.gg/JWUQrtwGBQ), sharing the latest progress with players. We'd appreciate it if you take part in those activities. Your valuable advice and suggestion are an important source of ideas and inspiration for our team.
