The battle phase is not something I could get interested with

The game is a build-a-base-while-you-fight-the-ruffians kind of game. I'm not overly a fan of the battle phase because the interactions are a bit boring, and there is no tutorial in the beginning, so it may get confusing in some parts of the game. I believe there are other games like this that could cater to the same genre and playstyle, but I'm not confident with this one.
