Square Enix just showed why they are one of the best companies when it comes to RPGs. This is their own Dragon Quest Puzzle RPG, and it's actually quite good. Gameplay-wise, it actually has the same mechanics as many puzzle games, as well as puzzle RPGs. Players face off against an opponent and beat them by solving a puzzle. The puzzle is a typical match 3 puzzle and matching four or more lets players perform special attacks, which means more damage on enemies. The RPG element is also typical, but done so well. There is still room for improvement, but so far, it's a very fun puzzle game that I actually played for hours.

More interesting than I expect, Sqaure Enix mixed its classic sword & magic in DQ to fight against monsters with the match tile mechanics. In fact, I am not particularly interested in the match tile game, but I find it more interesting when it incorporates another RPG element with a strategic element. If you collect different monsters that you defeated, you can build teams with different attack styles, so that the tile-matching becomes highly variable.

The game is still a familiar recipe, familiar with the interesting features of "Dragon Quest". Combat becomes casual, the player has to generate effective elimination around the monster, it will attack the monster. Multiple connections or more than three eliminations will result in a powerful skill. Once the monster is not eliminated within the limited round, the monster will counter-attack.Just like the familiar "Dragon Quest" PC game, players have to keep practicing to improve the damage and also to sharpen their skills, but they won't feel bored, instead they can't stop playing.

This game combines RPG and Match 3 gameplay in a way that makes me feel nice. You can edit your own team, which will MATCH your character when fighting monsters. When four or five identical characters are successfully matched, you can double-tap the screen to use a very cool skill. Whenever you successfully pass a level, a new monster will be registered in the gallery. It's very fulfilling to see your collection growing. I am very happy with this game and willing to spend some time playing.

I think this is more like an easter egg for the fans of the DQ. For me, it's just a nice match-3 game that has everything this type of game needs. Honestly, if you've played one, you've played them all.

I really like the game but I recieve an error message when I open for my erasers and then it comes back to the title menu. How can I solve this problem ? 😭

Gameplay is nice but Controller need to be improved. Need to press hard to scroll items to make match 3.
