EXIT – The Curse of Ophir

Players who like escape rooms and puzzle games are worth a try! There are a lot of puzzles to solve, and it's a great test of your ingenuity. But for me the plot is a little short.

Always love games driven by mysterious stories and intricate puzzle design. The puzzles in this one are pretty challenging but thanks to the hint system, I never got stuck in a single scene for too much time. Some tips: make good use of everything you see and find connections. Sometimes a little bit of imagination is also needed.

I really like the style of this game. It's not only about solving the puzzles but also finding the truth about the murders.

I love solving mysteries, I love figuring out puzzles, and I love time travel. Exit: The Curse of Ophir checks each of those boxes and wraps it all up in an intriguing escape room-style package. The Exit: The Game series has actually been around for years now in the form of physical board games, but as far as I know, this is the first digital iteration. I played this game on my iPad and the general gameplay is great. The graphics are neat and the game also features a male voice-over, which suits the creepy vibe of the game pretty well. The puzzle design is challenging and really needs you to think hard in order to solve it and progress into the next stage. But don't worry, the developer designs a handy hint system which will give you the hints in three different stages, from general to specific, so that you can enjoy the puzzles without being hindered for too long.

Every detail in the game was wisely arranged to be a part of the overall crime scene. There are hints provided but it's up to you whether you'll use them or not (but I have used it all since the game is too difficult!). Watch out for even those small drawings on the wall, I just got stuck out on how to open the suitcase. Lol.

I was confident that I could finish the game in less than an hour, but to my surprise, the game was full of riddles and puzzles. It made me want to play more because I can't go to sleep without solving the puzzles in it. Hands up to those who can finish it quickly, mind if you share with me some of the clues? Lol.

My friends told me that the game is scary, but for me, it was like a challenge. I have done all sorts of detective stuff and this, by far, caught my interest. I'm a big fan of it now!
