Alright, I'll admit. At first I was kinda rolling my eyes, because Match 3s have been done to death. But this has just enough here to make the tired old Match 3 system a little more fresh and robust. The demo only has the Muscely Warrior Panda available, and 4 levels with several stages of monster slaying and tile matching.
What sets this apart from most Match 3 games, even those in the same RPG vein, is this game's matching system. Every turn, you have Action Points which are spent by tapping a tile you want to move. This let's you tap multiple icons and move them all in the same turn. Muscle Panda has Two AP to begin with, so I can select two different icons and move them both. You can only move them in the same direction however, so be aware of what is going where. Another thing I like is that you're not strictly penalized for moving a piece that doesn't have a match.
