I'm very torn...
I received a demo disc from a good friend at Blizz last year, and it was shockingly bad. my friend was very unsure that the game would ever be released at all. so on the one hand I give major props to Blizz for pulling off a miracle. There are no ground breaking mechanics, but the game is polished, it looks decent, and it's fun. here's why I'm torn. blizz has shamelessly and unapologetically monetized this game to kingdom come. there will be no competing with those who are already maxed at 60. and who have spent a great deal of $$ on their gear. the drops are pretty generous, my 30 wiz has almost all gold gear. but we ALL know how seriously expensive upgrading. fusing, slottingd and upgrading your gems is. I intend to play until it becomes painfully obvious that it's a waste of time trying to remain competitive on the pvp side. Further. the initial install/unpack is nearly 9gb. Then there are about 10 NON OPTIONAL download pieces totalling about 9gb more so you have access to the entire game. Really, blizz? 18gb install? I'm disappointed that this was the direction Blizz decided to take.
