Unlike its SciFi counterpart, 40K, the high fantasy portion of Warhammer, Age of Sigmar, doesn't seem to have a good record in video games so far. However, as I tried Warhammer AoS: Soul Arena, I actually had a ton of fun with this Auto-battler. Players choose their Captain, and even make up their own teams. And while players can use units not from their captain's factions, it would be best to do so to create better synergies between units. For example, your captain is the Celestant Prime, a Stormcast Eternal (which is AOS's equivalent to 40K's Space Marine). While he can field other units from Order factions like Fyreslayers (Fire dwarves) and Seraphon (Lizardmen), he will buff Stormcast Eternal units alot more. And yes, having units from the same faction causes synergy between each other as well.

Good ideas here . However, without knowing the builds I struggle with auto battlers. This has potential due to the smaller scale of partied opponents in a session. It's still beta right now. I'll come back later and update my thoughts.
That's everything for now. Start a new game?
