Kingdom of Arcadia (KoA) follows Sam (an avid fan of video games) as he is pulled into a pixelated world in his father’s old arcade cabinet. Audio (★★★☆☆) ✔️ Average and limited sound design ❌ Audio doesn’t seem to provide any atmospheric experience Story (★☆☆☆☆) ✔️ Simple Mission: Clear levels and save the world ❌ Little dialogues throughout the game ❌ Translations are rough around the edges Gameplay (★★★☆☆)

I kinda feel like I'm playing a retro-style action platformer like the one I played on the NES when I was a kid. It's surprising it's free since the overall quality of the game is high. Smooth attacks, jumps, climbing. As well as the level design, I think the developer of this game is a big fan of action platformers! There are ads in the game, but they aren't a big deal. My main issue is that the resolution isn't compatible with my phone. So I can only play the game on 75% of my screen. 🥺

If you love platformers, this one may be for you! Kingdom of Arcadia has a very good retro feel, with nice retro pixel art. It feels like old platformers too, such as Castlevania. Controls are very clean as well, and gameplay is just simply fun. The story itself is kinda generic though, but it's not really that important. But my biggest problem here are the ads. They do pop up, but at least they don't completely ruin the gameplay experience.

This side-scrolling classic game is good so far. The gameplay is fairly simple but challenging. You must get thru on levels in-order to win the level. Fairly simple, but challenging due to the obstacles. The graphics are good as well, a classic 8-bit style of art. The controls are quite hard to use but manageable, the device is a factor as well, if you're comfortable playing with it. Overall, the game is good. Greatly recommended.
