Devil Royale

Playing as the devil defending your kingdom is a little hard at first. On the battlefield, you have to summon different types of monsters to defend your castle. This gets hard when your enemies increase in quantity and attack at the same time. Though the game has a little retro vibe, it still serves its purpose to catch up with all the updated game versions nowadays. I'd still choose this game style.

Summon different monsters to invade or avoid being invaded by the troops of the enemy. The design of the game is kinda retro, but even if that is the plot of the design, I hope they improve the user interface of the game. Defend your castle by strategizing the order of summoning your troops. Some problems include some monsters getting stuck on the terrain. Hope it gets fixed.

Devil Royale, a game that just released today, and to be honest, my first 10 minutes of the game was not that great. I thought the game wasn't that interesting. BUT! As I continued to play, I found out that this game was actually a lot more enjoyable than I first thought,. Gameplay wise this game is set up like a card battle game. You must summon your monsters to try take down the opposing enemies castle. There is a mana type regen system that as you save up more points, you can summon the minions of varying mana cost. They do not show their attack numbers on the card while playing, or the health, only their summoning cost. One thing that really annoyed me while playing, was the fact that you cannot check your monster cards while in battle to find out how to best use them on the field. Instead you need to memorize them from going to the deck menu on the main menu and read all your monsters abilities there. I was NOT a fan of this and it was very frustrating in combat because I cannot remember all of their strengths and weaknesses.

At first I thought that DEVIL ROYALE was pretty bad. I honestly didn't think I'd like it. But as time passed and I kept playing it, I was pleasantly surprised. Why is this game so much fun? It's probably the unexpected challenge the game provides. You have to know what monster to summon and make sure you have enough magic points available to summon it. These make it so that you need to have at least some basic knowledge of your monsters and how to use them, which unfortunately was hard to do mid gameplay since you cannot read the monster cards in combat. You can read their info out of combat on the main menu section but in game, you cannot. This is a huge oversight if you ask me, and the game would be even better if you could read the info on the fly.  Great game however. Just needs some improving. I am very really enjoying it though.
