The game Limbo is special in that it doesn't quite capture this mystical dimension in my head, but it captures the essence of it. You are a young boy who awakens in a lonely world made of shades of black, white, and gray. The video game logic requires you to move from left to right and jump over the obstacles that appear. This is a simple task that requires little attention for the first few minutes. This is your chance to take in your surroundings. The background gives a sense of depth, but the branches and bridges are lifelike and blurry. The little hero trots with the charming lanky figure of a 6-year-old, with bright, twinkling eyes shining from his jet-black silhouette.

Video games are an art form composed of visuals, sounds, and a mythical element called gameplay. Limbo is a perfect example of how these three crafts work together to create something great. With no text, dialogue, or explanations, it's easier to convey situation and context to players than most other games. Just finished this up with near completed gamer score. The puzzles and platforming in this game are indeed brilliant. The atmosphere is absolutely engaging and the story is haunting, but the gameplay, button input, and controls in general are pretty rough. I think it is worth playing but I would say Inside and Somerville are better by a landslide. You will get frustrated playing this game. And the hardest achievement is really annoying and honestly not worth trying for. Don't get me wrong I see the.

Another game to add to my addiction! I just got bored in the first few levels cause there are not many enemies to kill. But then when I finished every level, they got faster and too many that I can't even get past level 20. LOL. Help!

Of the 2-3 hours of game time, Limbo's puzzles are challenging only in the last third. The first half of the game focuses on creating fear and ambiguity. Even after being killed, the giant spider's remaining legs stick out of its ribcage toward you. This is the final act of defiance that forces the crow to pluck the two carcasses. When the spider's legs are pulled out, the audible crackling and visible white droplets indicate how recently its life force has been destroyed. Elsewhere, push crates and pull levers to solve puzzles before rising water fills the room. Failure is seeing your beloved boy limp like a rag doll while his lungs fill with fluid.

I really like the game. The character art style reminds me of helltaker. It's a fun game that is great at kinng time. I would recommend trying it out.
