Wipeout Rush is a card-based racing game where you don't have control over the vehicle. Instead, you'll be in charge of a team of racers, and you'll get to enjoy all of the thrills of driving while also dealing with cards. The game promises to dive into Wipeout's past, and I'm particularly curious as to why the user is unable to drive.
What's great about this racing game is that as you continue through an engrossing single-player campaign told through spectacular animated comics, you'll be able to unlock collectible cards to discover more about the Wipeout world's ships, teams, pilots, and tracks.
It also offers both Quick Race and Championship Cup game modes, as well as 5 different tracks, 60 iconic Wipeout ships, a large selection of recognizable weapons, 12 Championship Cups, each with their own boss, and a slew of collectibles, which is good for a racing game.
The graphic design is fantastic; I particularly enjoy how they managed to mix comics into the game, given that it is a racing game with a future concept. Nonetheless, the execution is superb.
Overall, I have a great time playing it. This game merits a 4-star rating for its aesthetics, gameplay, and user interface. If they add manual control to the racing mode, I'd give this a 5-star rating.
