Starts okay but then after the 16th level or so difficulty spikes unreasonably and you can't catch up to damage using upgrades because you need cards for your heroes and you don't get them as often or you have to buy them with real money. You need cards to unlock new heroes too. The initial ones aren't that strong.
Another thing is the time limit on the matching, sometimes it's fine, but a lot of times it ends before you make another move and ruins your turn.
Getting 3 stars per level is essential to unlock the next set but getting 3 stars is related to number of turns, and once enemies start becoming way strong you can barely scrape by.
It's actually not in your best interest to get 3 stars because you can't replay the level if you do. It's best to get 1 or 2 to replay the level and receive rewards each time.
Pros:
Cute graphics, nice music
You can get gold fairly alright to upgrade.
Cons
Energy system
Long cool down to replay previous levels
Too grindy to enjoy after the first few levels
