Mage Dice is one of the most exotic and fun Tower Defense style games with a unique gameplay using dice as the game operator. In this game, we take on the role of a sorcerer who protects the tower. The background of the sorcerer is a 21 space grid where a random number will appear in the space behind every time we throw the dice with mostly one to three random points. In addition to the random points, the dice come in random colors.
Each color represents the elements of magic used to attack intruders such as red color is to attack by fire whereas blue is to attack by using ice which could freeze the enemies. Brown color represents the earth element which will create traps in the battlefield and yellow is lightning. These attacks create continuous destruction to nearby enemies.
To pass each level, we have to deal with at most 30 ripples of enemy aggression where the invading enemy will become stronger in the latter ripple with a boss joining the group. Moreover, to deal with the invaders, we need to strengthen our attack powers to be more aggressive by mixing the same color and number dice together. The mixed dice will become a new elemental dice with higher numbers and assist in exacerbating the attacks.
Furthermore, we can upgrade the elements by increasing the level of the particular element by using money obtained from killing the invading enemies similar to randomizing the new dice. Upgrading and opening new dice incurs higher cost therefore we need to establish a good strategy to manage the funds whether to open the dice or upgrade the element.
Attacks will happen following the existing elements within the 21 space grid. When the game commences, we will see a white line running through the grid. Upon passing through the elemental dice, it will release the attack power of the same element. Besides this kind of attack, there are two more skills that can be used by ourselves and will be delayed when used.
