Story (★☆☆☆☆)
✔️ Based on a popular Korean webtoon manga of the same name
❌ Bland storyline with dodgy translations
❌ Dialogues are not fully voiced
Gameplay (★★★☆☆)
✔️ A mashup of game elements (Deck-building, hero collector, AFK RPG game mechanics)
✔️ A huge roster of heroes for players to collect
✔️ Multiple game modes available (Main story, dungeon exploration, duelling, demon king tower)
✔️ Use of magic scroll is similar to that in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes
✔️ Research, crafting and gacha system
✔️ Close resemblance to AFK Arena
❌ Repetitive grind
❌ Duel circle doesn’t work
❌ Game doesn’t offer players a way to remove all ads
❌ No chat between players available
Graphics (★★★☆☆)
✔️ Amazing cartoonish art style
✔️ Polished cutscene and summoning animations
❌ Combat animations are hard to see due to its size
❌ Flat 2D background (Lack of life)
Verdict (★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆)
Although the game may possess stunning graphics, it still can’t seem to scratch the itch that I’d love it to. Even with its partnership with Webtoon, neither do their characters nor the storyline seem to be memorable. It's quite a bummer really.
Sure, I may not be a figurine collector of any sorts IRL, but the challenge of collecting these heroes may offer a sense of accomplishment but doesn’t seem to go far. Unless you’re a fan of the AFK RPG genre, I’d recommend you to go for something more exciting.
