Great Turn Based Games.
GAMEPLAY
Unlike other games in the same genre it has different UI of the gameplay.
The game has a unique mission exploration. It has puzzles and mini games. You mostly spend time here than battling most of the time.
The battle has a theater house feeling. Your dolls (Your Characters) will be in 2d cards but has 2d live animation at the bottom right for the doll being used. You see the enemies in two rows (front and back) in a 2d live animation as well.
Once your turn, you can use wait, basic attack, core skill, special skill (some dolls don't have special but instead have passive replace instead, and ultimate skill. They have different SP (Mana or Energy in the game) usage.
You gain SP by destroying shields, using basic, attack waiting for another turn, and after a whole turn is finished.
DOLLS AND SKILLS
There are 5 elements: Physical, Shadow, Fire, Chill, and Lightning. Skill has sub categories but it's too much and some are combined so you just to find it out for yourself.
There are three roles in Attacker, Defender and Healer. No explanation necessary there.
Some dolls can change they're roles and elements. Once reach lv 20, you can combined the and customize the skills of a doll.
Dolls don't have a rare system.
UPGADES AND VERVES
Verves are like equipment to dolls. It also has three types best suited for each role that is Attacker, Defender and Healer. This has a rare system which makes a SSR verves powerful. You can only equip 3 verves for each doll.
There are 6 ways to improve your doll.
•Verves
•Ascension
•Sigils (Materials earn in mission)
•Skill Level Up
•Level Up
•Past (Need keys to unlock a doll's past)
There are so many ways to upgrade that my sanity( needed to play the game) is dying.
SQUAD
I keep it short, it's the section where you organize your team. You can pick to place them in the front row or back. And you can only have five dolls per squad (obviously).
TRIALS & ABYSS RIFT
Is basically where where you gain materials like coins, Level Up materials, Skill Level Up materials, keys, and material needed to upgrade the verves.
It is also where the boss fight is located along with the tower with the tower which is just better rewards and harder enemies as you go higher. It has a store which you can trade which the points from the boss fight only.
Abyss rift is where you get ascension materials which you can also get from drawing but this is guaranteed to give the lot of ascension materials to the left most doll in the squad.
EVOKE
Where you draw. It has standard, rate up and limited banners (don't know when but it says so by the game) separated by dolls and verves. You can use a card to draw or use 200 crystals for one draw. Each banner has a pity and look like it can pass on to the next banner after. Each has they're own pity. It has a store to use the fragments collected.
HOUSE & BONDS
This is complicated for beginners so just play it to understand.
It has a house system for the dolls to increase there moral recovery which loses when I think you lose a battle or mission (That's the only time it happened to me). Inside the house you can collect crystals to make furniture and upgrade the house functions. You can also cook to increase bond which we will get to later and commission which you can collect crystals, coins, level up materials and coupons. Coupons can also be traded in the store.
Bond is where you bond characters, Present is the story of each characters bonding with the Main Character. Past is the same the past in leveling up. Date is the date between you and the dolls which gives a lot of keys for the past. Both the present and date can increase the bond.
You can pet the characters which don't have any special interaction at the start but may change if you increase the bond and gifts which increases the bond.
You can change the skin but most skins are paid.
PATROL
You can met with important characters and learn about them. You can also get materials which is mainly used for cooking.
STORY
There are two main story in the game, One is happening in the City which shows as yellow and blue "!" and the other is in the Gameplay Story. Each doll has a story of the past which is shown in a shadow puppet which is kinda unique to me.
EVENT
Like other events which introduces a characters or maybe skins to the game.
MUSIC AND GRAPHICS
The music fits which the fanstay gameplay and changes according to the section of the game.
The graphics are simply 2d and 2d live but we'll executed.
The ultimate animation though is another level to this game. The animation is so good that I let it play for every time I use the ultimate.
Conclusion
It's a F2P friendly game. It's already fine with with the pity but getting ascension materials through gameplay instead of drawing tons is a god kill to us F2P.
I highly recommend it to F2P gamers who likes to try ACGN games.
This is my first time totally giving my all to review a game.
