Rest In Peace, The True King of Games

Translate
I'm still in a constant state of shock. Maybe you don't know the news yet, or maybe you do but don't want to accept it. However, it is a fact that we have to face, the creator of the popular card game series Yu-Gi-Oh! has been found dead in Okinawa, Japan.
Kazuki Takahashi is a legend. He started as a manga artist in the early 1980s. In 1996, Takahashi launched Yu-Gi-Oh! in Weekly Shōnen Jump, where it was serialized until 2004. The series became a huge success, also received several media adaptations, notably an anime television series and a trading card game.
Yu-Gi-Oh! was a part of my childhood. I learned everything about Yu-Gi-Oh! from my friends when I was very young, and even after all these years I still remember it very well. I will never forget Dark Magician, Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon and many more cards that accompanied me.
One of my favorite cards is the Monster Reborn, a card with a design called the Ankh. In ancient Egypt, the ankh was used as a symbol of life and was one of the most common amulets. It symbolizes the vitality and rebirth of life. I have a tattoo of the Ankh on my body.
Takahashi had a pet dog, a shiba inu named Taro. This dog was the basis for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game monster card Shiba-Warrior Taro. The card's artwork was drawn by Takahashi himself.
Takahashi stated that his favorite manga from other authors included Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki, and Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama in an interview with Shonen Jump. I actually really like these authors and their works too. If Takahashi and I were the same age, maybe we would have the opportunity to be good friends and talk about these works. I'll never forget Takahashi, the true king of games.
Rest In Peace, Kazuki Takahashi.
