How to ruin a game: Minecraft

P.S. this article has a number of errors and contradictions, don't read it please. It sucks, and i wish to once re-write this article with more substantial evidence.

This was inevitable. This event would happen one day and it did. Minecraft was ruined gradually, and it all began when it was bought by Microsoft.

Anyway, let me show why exactly Minecraft is on its downfall.

1) Chat reporting and account migration. Yeah, everyone knows what happened here and why exactly is it bad, no need to explain it too much. The big corporation has forced a bad system of chat reporting into a simple block game about creativity, blah blah blah.... Moreover, you cannot revert the account migration! And you cannot disagree to the chat report system since you HAVE agreed to it when your Minecraft account became a Microsoft account

2) Updates. Less content, less promised features, lies, deleted fireflies, no new birch forests, lack of 1.19 features, etc. In my opinion, the last actually good update was 1.16. I hate the new cave generation.

3) Music. Woah-woah-woah, music? Yeah. Lena Raine's pieces for 1.19 and 1.18 are genuinely bad, the new songs don't fit C418's ones and are sometimes really bad and "off-scale". I could go deeper into the music theory and could research more on C418's style (which I'm doing right now) but i guess it would be a bit boring and would take too much time. C418 cannot provide his music to Mojang because of Microsoft that would want to buy rights to the music, but he wouldn't agree to that since he still is a small indie musician and he wants to earn money for himself and not just sell his music to Microsoft.

Conclusion: Microsoft made Minecraft a worse experience. Yeah, Bedrock Edition is cool, but the issues and problems... Ugh.

Edit: i'm NOT happy with the new updates and music. I think it all just sucks

Edit 2: sorry, everyone, this article i wrote a while ago kinda sucks. I won't remove it however, but it still sucks.

Number 1 and 3 are just rants to me… The first one I can understand to a certain degree on why it’s bad, but your ranting doesn’t compel me to think of it as a bad thing. Number 3 is just an opinion mixed in with ranting, people could have the exact opposite feeling of what you said and there is nothing wrong with that. The only thing I could agree to your statements are only Number 2, because honestly the updates start to have less content, delays, less enjoyable than the last, filling in with whip cream and a cherry on top a bunch of broken promises and lies. (Personally it felt like everything was going downhill once Mob Votes were introduced, like when everyone voted for something, that everyone practically hates now because it’s completely annoying?)

Duuuh, yeah, weren't reviews like these supposed to be subjective? Yes, i am ranting, since i don't wanna be silent about my favourite game turning into a big mess. Also the shady and horrible decisions related to servers mojang did recently (well, probably microsoft forced those changes) make me wanna scream and uninstall Minecraft fucking forever. Go check it for yourself and you'll be SHOCKED. Minecraft is being actively murdered by Microsoft's policies and even though i'm more of a single player Minecraft enjoyer, i am still unhappy with whatever is happening. Also, I've heard some new songs for Minecraft 1.20 and those are a big improvement! They do sound more C418-ish and have no issues related to some notes being off-key or whatever.

hey there Minecraft veteran here played the game since 2011, but I would like to disagree with this statement. after the Minecraft account migration more people bought Minecraft because you get both games and if you did the migration during last summer you would have gotten a free Cape. yea Minecraft 1.16 was a little bit more better but who can forget about the 1.18 update a.k.a. the cliffs and caves, also this isn't it's downfall instead the game has been getting more and more money each year because of the helpful community and the helpful staff on server and game issues.

Valid points, although I disagree with your statements about Lena Raine's music. IMO it sounds pretty damn good and I don't think you know what you're talking about when you mention music theory and shit.

bro💀💀💀 i never said that Lena Raine's music is BAD, i think that Lena Raine's music made SPECIFICALLY for Minecraft is bad. And not for the reasons of "bad mixing" or "not in scale", nah, in terms of music theory Lena's songs are overall alright, some sounds from some songs sound off because they were tweaked by a few cents and they don't sound well with the rest of those compositions. I don't mention the names of those songs because they are so uninteresting and unmemorable, that i just can't remember. My main point about the new OST was that the new songs simply don't fit in with C418's songs. Lena did try to replicate that style, but either Microsoft didn't give her enough time or creative freedom over that, so the songs turned out to be... weird. I tried doing that myself too, and i think i only made one good replica of C418's style, the other ones sounded either bad or unfitting. I know how actually hard it is to make music like Danny, and my appreciation of his works grows with each day. that's all i want to say

bro java edition is not available on android, you could play Bedrock with a resource pack that would make it look like Java. there are, and i have the resource pack, it's kind of flawed but it's as good as it could be
