(Temporarily use the M5 Stellant picture instead)
Compared with the M5 base model, the M5A1 has the following improvements:
The turret of the M5A1 light tank adopts the extended turret of the M3A3 light tank. The turret first modified the pistol shooting hole on the side and finally canceled it; the old M5 also closed the shooting hole. A more advanced SCR 508 radio was installed in the crowded turret with an antenna at the rear. To avoid interference, the .30 coaxial machine gun was moved to the right and could only be operated by the commander.

T-34(C)/T-34*
In January 1950, New China introduced the first batch of 300 T34 tanks from the Soviet Union, most of which were T34/85 tanks, and soon put them into the battlefield to resist US aggression and aid Korea.
The most famous T34/85 tank group of the Volunteer Army is the No. 215 tank. The vehicle group once raided with a single vehicle during the battle, destroying 3 enemy heavy tanks at one time. During the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the entire crew destroyed 5 enemy tanks, damaged 1 vehicle, destroyed 9 chemical mortars, 1 car, and destroyed 26 enemy bunkers, one tunnel and one command post. The leadership of the Volunteer Army awarded the 215 crew the honorary title of "People's Hero Tank", and recorded special merit for all the crew members.
The captain Yang Aru was awarded the first-class merit and was awarded the honorary title of "Second-level Combat Hero". And the T34/85 tank, which is numbered "215", is now displayed in the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution.

T-34-44/T-34-1
The T-34-1 medium tank is a medium tank developed by China in 1953. The maximum rate of fire is 6.45 rounds per minute, the maximum penetration is 219 mm, and the maximum speed is 50 km/h.
In the extensive use of T-34-85 tank accessories, improve the shortcomings of the T-34-85 tank. At the same time, the height of the T-34-85 tank was lowered a little, and some design features of the T-54 tank were borrowed.
It was not until 1990 that this type of tank was officially withdrawn from the Chinese reserve force.
59-16/WZ-131/WZ-130
The 59-16 tank is a lightweight and improved version of the Type 59 tank. This type of tank is also one of the prototypes of the Type 62 tank. It is a 16-ton heavy-duty light tank submitted by North Industries for the 1958 Army Day Offer a Gift Exhibition.
The plan was completely rejected because the design concept was too advanced and out of touch with the actual situation at that time.

This type of tank was developed in 1958, a prototype was made in 1959, and finalized production in 1962. Crew of 4 people, the total combat weight of 21 tons.
The Type 62 light tank is the same as the Soviet-style tank. The driving wheel is placed in the rear and the guide wheel is in the front. The body is welded with steel plates, and the turret is a casting.
Its main armament consists of an 85mm 85mm gun and a 7.62mm side-by-side machine gun controlled by the driver. The top of the turret is equipped with a 12.7mm Type 54 anti-aircraft machine gun, and the 85mm cannon is suspended from the chassis and has a suction device at the rear of the muzzle. The artillery pitch range is -4°~+20°, and the turret rotation range is 360°.
TYPE-59/WZ-120
The Type 59 medium tank is a medium tank that China copied from the Soviet T-54A medium tank in the 1950s and equipped with a large number of tanks.
This type of tank has a total combat weight of 34 tons, a crew of 4, a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour, and a maximum travel of 560 kilometers.
The main weapon is a 100mm rifled gun with a rate of fire of 7 rounds per minute, a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun and two 7.62mm machine guns, equipped with infrared night vision devices for night driving. The armor on the front and sides of the hull is thicker, and the turret is streamlined and has good ballistic resistance. The tank has strong firepower, good armor protection and maneuverability, light weight, simple structure, reliable operation and convenient use and maintenance.
The Type 59 medium tank is the first domestically produced main battle tank equipped by China. The tank began to be installed in the Chinese army in 1959 and was the main equipment of the Chinese armored forces until the 1980s. China has produced more than 10,000 Type 59 tanks, most of which are produced by the Baotou 617 Factory. Another tank production base in China, Luoyang Tractor Factory, produced 500 Type 59 tanks.
WZ-132
In order to compete with the enemy tank clusters, our country began to develop advanced tanks and armored vehicles such as Type 69 medium tanks, WZ111 heavy tanks, and ultra-light paratrooper fighting vehicles in the early and mid-1960s. In urgent need, it was decided to develop a new generation of light tanks (codenamed WZl32) to change the passive situation of weak firepower of the southern "Iron Cavalry" troops. The development of this type of tank lasted for nearly 10 years, and the plan was stopped in 1975.
TYPE-69/WZ-121
Type 69 Main Battle Tank is a main battle tank first independently designed by China in the late 1960s.
The tank is an improved design based on the Type 59 tank. In 1963, the technical indicators were issued, the design was completed in 1964, the prototype was produced in 1965, and the design was finalized in 1974. The Type 69 tank is equipped with a 100 mm smoothbore gun, a 426 kW (580 hp) engine, a laser rangefinder, a night vision sight for the gunner, a command mirror for the commander to observe day and night, and a two-way artillery stabilizer. The tank has improved over the Type 59 tank in terms of firepower and mobility, as well as night combat performance.
The Type 69 main battle tank was designed and finalized in the early 1970s. After several improvements, its model continued to expand, thus forming the Type 69 tank family. Between 1972 and 1981, 150 Type 69 main battle tanks were produced in small batches for the Chinese Army. Since then, the subsequent improved models of the Type 69 tanks have been exported to Iraq, Thailand, Pakistan and other countries, with a total of about 3,200 vehicles.

TYPE-62G
This type of tank is a major modification of the Type 62 light tank. It adopts the body of the Type 62 light tank and replaces the welded turret of the 63A amphibious tank. Additional armor can be installed on the front of the turret. The artillery uses the 105mm low recoil gun of the 63A amphibious tank. A new type of fire control system and low-light night vision device were installed to improve the firepower accuracy and night combat capability of the tank. The overall performance of the light tank after the major revision is basically equivalent to that of the second generation of foreign main battle tanks.
When the improved prototype was delivered, it was highly appraised by the troops for trial use. However, due to various reasons, the 62G light tank failed to finalize production.
