My first impressions on COD: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign
I had been told about the Call of Duty series before, but had never actually played the game. Usually I play Fortnite and Apex Legends and when I saw the trailer for Modern Warfare 2, I was hooked. So I pre-ordered the game, which will officially launch on October 28, to get the opportunity to play the campaign in advance.
For my first exposure to this game, each level of the campaign was an almost completely different experience. The story was relevant, but the way of combat was out of my expectation. The level I'd most like to share with you at the moment is called Wetwork.
When I dive into the water, visual effects and sound effects are so realistic to make me feel very shocked. My teammates and I tried to uncover some key clues from the terrorists, and the process was gradual.
I feel like I'm a professional, well-versed in tactical operations aimed at striking terrorists. The enemy's behavior and reactions have immerse me as if they were real people and not AI. When you think you are safe, it is likely that someone will suddenly come out of nowhere and try to kill you.
Since I was not too familiar with the game, it caused me to miss and attack my own teammates. Then the game came as a big surprise to me. It prompted that it is not allowed to attack your teammates, and then the operation failed.
I mean, in most games I've played, when you try to aim at one of your teammates, the aim usually disappears automatically or you can't really attack. But this game is different in that it lets you take the consequences of what you've caused. I really like this detail.
Can't wait to continue playing the campaign and the upcoming multiplayer mode. Love you guys!
